Crowns.

A dental crown is a custom-made ‘cap’ that fits over the entire surface of an existing tooth to restore its broken, crooked, damaged or weakened appearance. They also add strength to the underlying tooth structure, preserving much-needed functionality. In other words, a dental crown ensures that your smile is restored and your tooth repaired back to its original form.

With the advancement of technology, we can offer you a better way to achieve aesthetic form. For example, if your tooth has suffered lots of damage, is decayed, or there’s a large cavity, a crown may be a more practical option for providing protection, a less noticeable option than a filling.

People who have very worn-down teeth – due to damage from grinding, erosion or abrasion – can find that having a crown is the only viable option to prevent further destruction. In addition, the aesthetic appearance of your smile can be improved by a dental crown where there are gaps or severely broken, diseased and discoloured teeth.

Crowns can be made from various materials, including metals, porcelains and ceramics. Some patients opt for a crown made of metal, but, in most cases, porcelain or ceramic is used to give a more natural and aesthetically pleasing appearance. The shade of this artificial or ‘crowned’ tooth can also be matched to your other existing, healthy teeth.

Depending on what type of crown you opt for, there are varying costs, and we are happy to discuss this with you at your initial consultation.

Bridges.

A dental bridge consists of a structure made from metal, porcelain or ceramic, which supports an artificial tooth or teeth, filling any gaps left by a previous extraction. Like dental implants, a dental bridge is a permanent, fixed solution with a long-lasting lifespan – so long as you take proper care of it with regular maintenance and check-ups.

The procedure for constructing a dental bridge involves altering your natural teeth on either side of the gap. In conventional bridgework, a tooth on both sides may need to be filed down slightly so that the new supporting bridge can be securely attached to them. Less destruction of the adjacent natural teeth may be possible with an adhesive bridge, but these also have risks and benefits. Therefore, we will examine and assess the strength and viability of your existing teeth before discussing any dental bridge options with you. We aim to be careful and precise.

There are two main types of dental bridges: a conventional fixed bridge – as outlined above – or an adhesive bonded bridge glued to the tooth’s rear surface at the side of the gap.

A bridge will restore your ability to chew, eat, and drink properly without any pain. In addition, it can maintain the shape and structure of your face, prevent movement of your existing natural teeth and, most importantly, restore your smile and confidence!

Client Testimonials

Honestly? The best service ever! These guys are not just flexible and helpful, but they actually care about their patients with passion. We were a little late for our first appointment , worried we won’t be seen, but soon as we walked in David put us at ease with his chatter and Mohammed invited us straight in. And ever since our first appointment whatever the question or help we needed all we had is no problem! Keep up with your great work guys!

What can I say. The most friendly, kind and professional people. I am (was) a very nervous patient but the kindness from Sarah, Azra, Mo and David was such that I was completely at ease. David pulled out all the stops to replace a broken denture and had me smiling again within days. I cannot recommend this Clinic enough. Thanks again guys.
